New! Domestic Cooking Course

A basic understanding of reading and writing the English language is required, as the course is conducted in English. However, because of cultural food differences, we taste, smell and talk about the food we prepare in an emotive manner so as to understand why flavours and textures go together.
Basic skills and ingredients for a variety of easy meals with flare run in two courses of 4 lessons each.

We prepare a variety of different easy to prepare dishes such as:

• Deliciously Simple Pasta Dishes (Cannelloni, Lasagna, Bolognaise Baked Potatoes, Rosti Cottage Pie, Macaroni & Cheese).
• Basic Scones both sweet (Blueberry, Chocolate Bar Scones, Lemon & Poppy Scones) and savoury (Feta, Piquant Peppers & Chives, Salmon & Wasabi; Sundried Tomato Pesto, Basil Pesto, Mustard & Sage).
• Health Muffins (Bran, Apple, Blueberry, Cinnamon ......)
• Stylish Soups (Medley of Mushroom, Corn Chowder, Roasted Tomato, Butternut Soup with croutons).
• Simple Sauces (Easy White Wine Cheese Sauce, Tomato Sauce - for the meatballs or burgers, Easy Creamy Cheesy Sauce, Mushroom & Cheese Sauce, Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry Sauce)
• Simple Salads with a difference for every day and dinner parties.
• Lunch OR Dinner (Beef & Vegetable Pie, Versatile Meat Sauce, Homemade Chicken and Mushroom Pie, Homemade Burgers with a variety of Sauces, Sage & Onion Stuffed Chicken, Sticky Stir Fry Pork or Chicken, Grilled Linefish, Bacon & Mushroom Quiche, Shnitzels with Mushroom Sauce, Roasted Vegetables, Chicken Casserole with Pesto)
• Decadent Desserts (Caramel Crème Malva Pudding, Chocolate Ganache Cake a là GECKO, Tiramisù, Apple Lattice Pie)

Details:

Duration – These are 4 week courses and only requires your domestic to attend once a week for 3 hours. Courses start at 09h30 sharp and end at 12H30.

Cost - The cost of the full course is R1000.00 per person.
